A fast-paced comedy full of laughter, where the urgency to live blends with the notes of jazz.
New York, 1927. America, in the midst of Prohibition, has seen the legendary Cotton Club close down. While its owner is imprisoned in Sing Sing for bootlegging and selling alcohol, his daughter Charlie Madden is still organising clandestine parties in the bar's basement. On a warm summer's evening, everyone is eagerly awaiting the arrival of deliveryman-smuggler Ted Pecsy, but events are about to take a turn that no one expects...
